This trip takes the delightful Torrens Linear Park from the city all the way to the Hills face. You are able to ride directly onto Gorge road just after it has left suburbia.
I followed up as far as Torrens Hill Road, which is steep, folllowed Paracombe Road, and then turned off at Tilmouth Road. This is a metal road which runs behind Milbrook Resevoir.
Tilmouth comes out at North East Road, where you can cross directly onto Carpenter Road and then onto Fidler's Hill Road. This has views through the trees down onto "the back" of our normal views of Milbrook Resevoir.
Fidler's Hill comes out on Milbrook Road, a favourite of mine, which runs down to Lower Hermitage Road and a bit of bitumen. After the 18% jump up at the end of Lower Hermitage it's back onto the metal along Airport Road down to the Tea Tree Gully - Gawler Road.
You could head back to the city from here, but to get home I need to take a right to One Tree Hill and home to Elizabeth.
