Renmark

Day Four 152km Route
I thought, for about 2 minutes, about making a run for Adelaide from Mildura, but the cross wind, and the road surface made it obvious that was not a viable choice. I settled for Renmark, instead.

It's big farming country most of the way out to the SA border when you leave Mildura. This paddock went back in about a kilometre from the road, and was maybe a couple of kilometres long. It makes Hilltop, where I grew up, look very small.

Mildura to Renmark is long and slow. I've done it at least six times— maybe eight. It never gets shorter, and the flies never go away. Lake Cullulleraine is a welcome break, and even Yamba looks pretty good after a few hours on a bike!
