Where I Live

One Man's Web > Where I Live

Because of my work I have lived "everywhere," from the very affluent suburbs to the very poorest of towns.  To our surprise we now have a house of our own.  We decided on a poor suburb... partly as an act of defiance against the rich ruling culture.  So like the rest of our lives we live in a contradiction, a new house a hundred metres from abandoned flats.  I like the northern suburbs; there is an honesty here. We have something to celebrate.  Jan, 2002
